Dragons Among Them (Kingdoms of Fire and Ice #1) by Kyra Jacobs

Dragons Among Them (Kingdoms of Fire and Ice) - Kyra Jacobs

As the heir to Edana’s throne, Prince Zayne Godfrey accepts it as his duty to wed the lone princess of Forath until he finds a beautiful stranger cornered by a pack of wolves and his burning passion for her jeopardizes everything in this fascinating fantasy romance.

While on a photo shoot, a bizarre jogging mishap lands Adelaide Miller in a dangerous, medieval-like world of royals, wizards and dragon-shifting men and the readers can’t help but become ensnared as a fire-breathing prince threatens to melt Adelaide’s heart. The chemistry between Adelaide and Zayne sizzles with vibrant intensity throughout the story but the relationship has a big hurdle – they are from two different worlds and Adelaide wants to go home and Zayne is torn between his heart and his royal obligation, which fills the story with quite a bit of emotional turmoil that readers can certainly relate to and the strong, compelling characters make it easy for the reader to fall victim to the world’s charm in this fast paced, smooth flowing plot full of suspense, excitement and romance.

Not only does the relationship build anticipation but it has excitement and intrigue building as well the longer that Zayne and Adelaide remain together, the more dangerous things become as their love could shift the balance of power in Zayne’s world forever when a ruthless plot to destroy his family is revealed. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination and bring the intriguing events to life while keeping the readers glued to the pages until the very end.

The author created a fascinating world with some very interesting concepts and wonderful characters, there were quite a few twist and turns that I didn’t see coming that added quite a punch to the story and I can’t wait to read the next book in this new series.
