Makenna is dedicated to finding a home for the residents of the shelter for lone shifters and she’s eager to connect a teen that is in her care to Ryan and the readers can’t help but get caught up in the unexpected sizzling connection that forms between Makenna and Ryan, Okay, the connection is definitely hot and one well worth exploring as this strong, compelling couple entertains readers with their relationship building – a relationship that is mostly emotionally unavailable in other words these two hold back their emotions with jaws of a steel trap and readers can’t help but become entangled in their relationship as they awaken each other’s hearts in this fast paced, smooth flowing plot full of suspense, action and romance.

Spine tingling tension builds as soon as readers discover that the shelter is being targeted by an Alpha who is insisting they need to join his pack and from there pulse pounding excitement builds as it becomes known that this particular Alpha has some sinister motives and uses every underhanded and dirty trick he can think of including some deadly ones in order to get what he wants. There is never a dull moment to be found among the well written scenes full of great details and the intriguing events which keeps readers glued to the pages.

This is one exhilarating Phoenix Pack experience that I am glad to have experienced, not only did I get see another side to the sexy & brooding Ryan Conner but Makenna is one feisty wolf that will keep him on his toes and she has a bit of quirky humorous side that fits right in with the rest.
