After a betrayals rocks Cassie Miller’s world, she takes some much need time to visit her home country of New Zealand and checking out her inheritance from her grandfather. With a bad boy reputation that he’s honestly earned and has no reason to deny, Hone always makes sure his rules and his anti-marriage opinions are clear, because sex and lots of it is a necessity if he wants to keep his taniwha (dragon) under the radar. With both of them experiencing the same lethal attraction, they both struggle to stay away and when they finally give in to their desires – they find that Cassie’s life is in jeopardy.
This dragon romance sizzles with lots chemistry and passion with heaping dose of suspense thrown in to ensure that readers can’t put the book down. Suspense and romance fill Cassie and Hone relationship as they get to know each other and no matter how hard they try, they just can’t manage to fight that magnetic attraction that they feel for each other, but due to Cassie’s career and an overbearing mother, their relationship has a few snags, a couple of secrets and a deadly obstacle to overcome.
The plot is fast paced full of excitement, charm and gripping emotions. The setting and overall plot of the story is refreshingly different and portrays a wonderful dragon culture that readers can sink their teeth into and the author was nice enough to ensure that readers have no problems pronouncing the names as she provides a very helpful guide in the front of the book. With several different suspenseful plots taking place and reader can’t help but enjoy a few chuckles, become caught up in intrigue and experience a heartbreaking but stunning battle that’s the stuff of legends.
