Jennifer Shaw is an academy-trained mage with a dark secret but she is setting out to make things right even if it destroys her life. This ‘High House Canis’ story is a cauldron full of trouble, energy and emotional turmoil. The chemistry between Jennifer and Liam is raw and full of electrical sparks that fly in every direction (sometimes literally) although they have a bit of charming cluelessness about their attraction and what it means. This couple is perfect for each other and their relationship is quite cute even as it captures the heart with all the gripping emotions that flow from the pages.

The plot is fast paced and energetic with lots of non-stop suspense and action that keeps readers hanging on by the fingernails with bit of excitement. The author portrayed this story and wonderful couple with bright, vivid intensity which makes it easy for readers to picture each and every detail including all the magic and passion. The story also has a stunning and exciting magical battle that results in a wonderfully exciting change for the rebels that readers can’t help but enjoy.
